NAKHODKA PORT/TERMINAL

The Port of Nakhodka (as well as port of Vostochny) sharing one harbor of Nakhodka, and anchorage areas are tightly situated one with another. The harbor washed down by Japan Sea and located conveniently hided by at Nakhodka harbour, washed by Japan Sea and included into ‘Zaliv Petra Velikogo’ gulf of Russian Fareast.

Port of Nakhodka is divided into inner and outer roads and consists of the commercial seaport (Marine Terminal), an oil port, the fisheries harbour (Marine Fishery Terminal) and an area of the mouth of the Partizanskaya River. Port handles general cargo, rolled ferrous metal products, grain, chemicals, equipment, logs, lumber, cellulose, cardboard and foodstuffs.

Navigation in the commercial port is possible year-round with the assistance of ice-breaker tugs.

An oil terminal is located in Novitsky Bay, just to the east of Nakhodka. Port connects with Europe via the Trans-Siberian Railroad and services Asia-Europe-Asia cargo traffic.

Located in Nakhodka Bay, in the NW part of the Japan Sea.

The northern part of Nakhodka Bay from the entrance up to the line connecting the Lindgolm and Basnin Points is occupied by the commercial port (Marine Terminal). The fishing port (Marine Fishery Terminal) is situated southward of this line.

PORT OF NAKHODKA SERVICES

The Port of Nakhodka has a modern telecommunications system and can provide communication services and any information, should customers require it.

The Port has bunkering boats, oil & garbage collecting boats, bilge collecting boats, which help the visiting vessels to receive fuel and water as well as discharge their bilges and waste.

Berths are assigned to five stevedoring complexes, each of them responsible for certain varieties of cargo. Berths 1-4 handles export-import general cargoes, servicing the Nakhodka-Japan line.

It has a grain/bulk terminal, equipped with a Hitachi pneumatic chute which can process up to 270 tons per hour. Berths 9, 10 handles bulk cargoes: coal, ferrochrome, ferroslags. Berths 25-27 handles round logs for export. Berths 28-32 handles export goods: a variety of ferrous metals articles (steel slabs, steel in rolls, cast iron, cast steel), timber, cardboard, paper, pulp, chemicals.

When approaching Port, a vessel should contact the "Nakhodka Traffic" Traffic Control Service in America Bay by VHF Channel 16. PSC call sign "Nakhodka - 49" by VHF Channel 06.
